Design stopped Working

    I just purchased a new laptop to run 2020. I made sure it meets all the recommended specifications, and i’m still having problems with the program crashing. 2-5 times a day I’m working on a design and and Error Message pops up that say’s “Design stopped Working” Then the program shuts down. Please HELP!!!

    Hello,

    Design has stopped working is a pretty generic message.  Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card installed and if your computer is a laptop make sure the power settings are set always use the high performance chipset.

    The best thing to do is to call the 1-866-697-2020 support line and have a tech take a first hand look at your computer.  He will be able to check your hardware and any error logs on the machine and be in much better position diagnose any issues with your software.

    V11.5.1 does this a lot. Go back to V11.4 – it’s a lot more stable.

    I started to draw and put in a cabinet, my program stopped working also. It tells me to shut it down.  What is going on.  This is the first design since I down load 11.5

    I called tech support, after doing a bunch of things on my computer, he figured out that 2020 doesn’t like touch screens. He disabled it and it seems fine now.

    I have a touch screen as well, it’s an Asus. I disabled the touch screen, but it’s still not working for me. Are you sure that you merely disabled the touchscreen and didn’t uninstall it entirely?

    I’m having the same issue, but I’m not working with 11.5, I’m working with 11.4.9.

    What graphics card do you have and which OS and graphics drivers are you running? If your machine is a branded model, tell us which one.

    Most of the V11 crashes I get have been due to graphics card drivers. I’m now running V11.6 and it is pretty stable.
